We have over 30 years experience helping Brides and Grooms to be, plan and organise their Wedding Day, always ensuring that their celebration is happy and memorable. The Hotel was one of the first venues in the area to be licensed to hold Marriage Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships.

Packfords offers an intimate and stylish setting for your Wedding. The Garden Room Suite incorporates the conservatory which leads on to pretty gardens, providing ideal surroundings for photographs in the summer. During the winter, open fires provide a cosy and warm environment.

Reception drinks are served in the conservatory, enabling people to go into the gardens. The Wedding Breakfast can cater for between 35-80 people for a formal sit down meal, or up to 140 guests for an informal buffet.

During the week, the Hardy Room is ideal for smaller gatherings with a seating capacity of up to 35 people. It has a more contemporary yet classic appeal.

Flowers are provided to complement your colour scheme on all of the tables and the Hotel also provides a wedding-cake stand and knife.

There is a venue hire charge based on the numbers, length and type of function. We will be happy to give you the appropriate price upon your enquiry.

We are licensed to conduct Marriage Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships in the Hardy Room. This room provides an ideal setting for up to 50 guests attending the ceremony.

The Hotel creates a setting that is traditional yet warm and relaxing, with open fires and air conditioning in all public rooms.

The Garden Room Suite has a charming Victorian-style conservatory leading onto an attractive mature garden, providing a beautiful backdrop for photography. The bar area is immediately adjacent to the main room. The Suite is able to accommodate between 35–80 people for a formal meal and up to 140 for a buffet.

The Hardy Room has a more contemporary yet still classic appeal. It is ideal for a weekday Wedding reception with a seating capacity of 15-35 people and 50 people for a buffet.

Perhaps the most popular evening entertainment is a disco. We are able to provide you with the contact details of our regular DJ who will liaise with you prior to your special day to organise your choice of music. Alternatively a live Jazz Trio or String Quartet would get the dancing going with a swing!

Packfords will meet all of your catering requirements. For your Wedding Breakfast you can either choose from one of our brochure menus or we can tailor one to suit your requirements. For later on in the evening we can serve a party buffet for up to 140 people, ideal for when people are standing, chatting and dancing.

Once you have booked your Wedding Day with us we look forward to meeting with you to discuss and plan the finer details of your day. This includes everything from timings, number of guests through to your colour scheme. The table layout will be determined with you according to the number of guests. The table settings are set off by pale cream linen and finished with fresh flowers on each table and in the reception areas.

There are nine rooms available for you and your guests if required, all are ensuite, finished to a high standard and have television, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.  Full English breakfast is included in the price.
